Our Program

  • Innovative Approach

    At MVMT+ Yoga Collective we believe in offering a yoga & mindfulness community that combines the philosophies and principles from a variety of yoga lineages. Our students will learn yoga techniques, training and practice; yoga philosophy lifestyle and ethics; anatomy and physiology ; and the teaching methodology - all delivered from experienced teachers brining their expertise from a variety of lineages.

  • Changing Lives

    Regardless of the “reason” students are drawn to our YTT program, we are confident that they will uncover things about themselves and yoga that reach far beyond expectations. We offer the doorway for students to pursue their passion by inviting an atmosphere of self discovery, non-judgement, truth, healing and support.

  • Hybrid Model

    We offer a flexible hybrid model that allows students to participate in select YTT modules virtually from anywhere with wifi! Then, classes come together for face to face learning and sharing as they venture on this life changing journey together.

  • Internships

    Once our students complete their YTT program we offer continued mentorship and learning opportunities by teaming our grads up with experienced teachers. We get new teachers into the studios to assist with delivering parts of classes and adjustments, with support and guidance, so they can gain the confidence and skills they need to deliver a class of their own!

Curriculum Overview

  • Yoga & Meditation

    Each day of training will include two yoga classes and a formal seated meditation to ensure that students are integrating what they are learning into their personal practice.

  • Postures & Movement

    Students will learn about functional movement and mechanics that nurtures mobility in the body to lengthen, stabilize, improve coordination, tension and power. By learning about the multifaceted layers of the human body students will tap into the facia, major muscle groups, joint mechanics and “space” in the body. Our philosophy is to learn how to feel our own bodies from within to learn to best cue and facilitate a safe and meaningful asana practice.

  • Sequencing & Queing

    Our program covers the traditional and contemporary approaches to yoga sequencing and the differences between varying sects of yoga with a focus on Ashtanga and Vinyasa style. Students will learn how to design creative yoga sequences that link breath and movement to create a seamless flow of movement for all levels of students. Teachers will learn how to modify to meet the needs of differing levels of abilities, including yoga classes for kids, teens, seniors and those dealing with mental or physical health limitations.

  • Mindfulness

    Students will explore practices of the mindfulness tradition to help them navigate the world in a more meaningful, connected and skillful manner. Our program places a strong emphasis on the importance a mindfulness meditation practice and there is a significant portion of time dedicated to cultivating a personal and group practice.

  • Anatomy

    We are offering a comprehensive and integrated hybrid (online/in person) learning platform for this section of our program. We will collaborate with each other regardless of the approach students choose. Students will have access to an online learning platform that includes written lessons and videos alongside multiple meetings/Q&A sessions with facilitators and classmates.

  • History & Philosophy of Yoga

    History & Philosophy of Yoga

    Students will explore through lecture and discussion the origins and meaning of yoga, the timeline of yoga’s long philosophical and practical history. We will cover history, philosophy, teachings and practice, an introduction to chanting and mantras and how to skillfully apply yogas philosophical teachings into your classes.
