Olivia Carbonneau

Hello my name is Liv Carbonneau and I am beyond thrilled to be able to teach yoga again (after the pandemic) in a studio class setting.

I am a Massage Therapist, Shaman & Mom of two busy kiddos and one large fur baby, which is basically our third child. I have a passion for yoga, meditation and energy work.

Yoga for me is a beautiful practice that creates space in both the body and mind. As we move through the asanas in yoga we bring movement to the energies that may be stuck in the body; as we hold the asanas in yoga we bring an opportunity to find space in the mind. Yoga can help us to find a pause and peace in what can sometimes be a frantic world.

I love to teach yoga with the motto of simplicity, sometimes less is more. I like to hone in on what the needs of those in class are, create a space and hold that space for entirety of the class; essentially, tailoring the class based on the group. In my class you may experience a combination of teaching styles from Akhanda, Kundalini, Ashtanga & Tensegrity.

I have been practicing yoga for the past 20 years off and on. I started with mostly Ashtanga & Kundalini. I took my teacher training in Akhanda yoga at the Prana yoga studio in Edmonton. Sometimes I’m more dedicated to yoga then other times but it’s always something I come back too, It is never lost and always a practice that has been part of my life. Yoga and meditation for me is my inner home, my compass in life, it’s a warm hug and safe place.

I find great joy in sharing my love for yoga and make it an all inclusive practice for anywho wishes to join me in my class.

I look forward to seeing you on your mat.

Namaste

Liv
