What is Yoga to me? It’s more than a physical practice, it’s my saving grace. I discovered yoga in 2010 when I was a Police Officer. I was working shift work and facing things daily most would not see in their lifetime. It felt natural for me to turn to fitness as my outlet; more specifically Bodybuilding and Yoga.
Yoga kept me grounded when things got dark, helped me keep an open heart when I didn’t understand, feel supported when I felt alone, and my body able when I carried heavy loads. It didn’t take me long to find new passion within Yoga and took YTT in 2011.
After ten years of Policing, I was ready to move on to find a true and meaningful connection not only within myself but to continue my path of helping people and my community. 12 years of building my practice I finally realized Yoga; on and off the mat, is what feeds my soul and has been the driving force of navigating through this crazy and often too fast paced life.
My intention; to create a safe, non-judgmental, inviting and supportive environment for everyone regardless of where you come from, your past, or what your ‘Why’ is that brings you to the mat.
In my classes you will always be greeted with a smile, build strength physically and mentally, get sweaty, find your calm, and probably chuckle at my terrible jokes. I can’t wait to meet you and share my Yoga.
